Top 5 Food and Drink Apps in South America Q2 2021

In the second quarter of 2021, the top five Food and Drink apps in South America exhibited notable trends in weekly downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at the performance of these apps.

iFood: pedir delivery em casa maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 586K at the end of March. However, there was a gradual decline, ending the quarter with around 415K downloads. Weekly active users showed a slight dip from 12.6M in late March to 11.7M by the end of June.

PedidosYa - Delivery App experienced a decrease in weekly downloads, starting at 315K in late March and dropping to 223K by the end of June. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 3.5M and fluctuating around this mark throughout the quarter, ending at 3.7M.

Rappi: Market and Food Online showed consistent performance in weekly downloads, averaging around 220K throughout most of the quarter, but dipping to 178K in the final week of June. Weekly active users also saw a decrease, from 5M in late March to 4.5M by the end of June, with some fluctuations in between. Revenue for Rappi remained minimal but peaked at $11 in mid-April.

McDonald's Offers and Delivery had a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching about 253K in the last week of May. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 1.7M in late March and peaking at 1.9M in late April, before stabilizing around 1.8M by the end of June.

Zé Delivery de Bebidas showed a declining trend in weekly downloads, from 199K at the end of March to 121K by the end of June. Weekly active users also saw a slight decline from 741K in late March to 716K by the end of June, with some fluctuations in between.
